This paper presents an overview of the labor relations situation in the Philippines under present economic conditions; the crucial issues confronting industrial relations; the programs being implemented to achieve harmonious industrial relations in the country; and the policy reforms being contemplated by the Philippine government to make the country’s industrial relations relevant to the current times. It also assesses the past and current state of labor relations in the Philippines.
