Philippine Informal Sector

Year Completed: 1994

The paper presents an overview of the current situation relative to the informal sector; the existing public and private sector activities/ programs for the informal sector; and recommendations in coming up with policies and programs for the sector.

While there are available existing programs that the informal sector may avail, it was found out that most of these are not really focused-limited for those in the informal sector and that there is still no fixed definition of what the informal sector is, who and what activities are really involved.
