While
there have been a number of studies done on child labor in
agriculture, several issues remain inadequately
investigated. These
issues include the influencing factors on the decision of
children to work, whether or not child labor in
agriculture threatens adult employment, or if child labor
is used as substitute to adult labor.
This
study empirically looks into the factors that lead
children to work, their working conditions, and the
implications of child labor in the agriculture industry.
Thus, the information generated can be utilized for
the formulation of interventions, where necessary, on the
problem of child labor in agriculture.
