People
The ILS is composed of professionals who are dynamic, creative, innovative, passionate and hardworking. The people of ILS come from diverse fields and unique academic backgrounds such as: economics, industrial relations, sociology, public administration, mass communications and the social sciences. These people contribute to the continuing success and excellence of the Institute in its quest to maintain its image of being the government’s premiere labor research think-and-do tank. They work together as one with the goal of bringing ILS not only in greater heights but above all, in bringing it closer to the Filipino worker.
Research Teams
To fulfill its mandate and thrusts of delivering quality policy researches, the ILS has four technical divisions and one administrative unit that help run its day-to-day operations and programs. It is led by its Executive Director Cynthia R. Cruz and Deputy Katherine B. Brimon. It has four technical offices, namely, the Employment Research Division (ERD), Workers’ Welfare Division (WWRD), Labor and Social Relations Research Division (LSSRD), and the Advocacy & Publications Division (APD). It has one administrative and support unit, the Finance and Administrative Division.
