ILS - DOLE

As part of its advocacy and research objectives, the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), the policy research arm of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), held its annual research conference dubbed, "2nd Strategic Conversations: Bridging Research, Policy and Practice," from September 6 to 8, 2010 at the Microtel Hotel, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. The 3 day-research conference centered on various key labor and employment issues such as labor diplomacy, migration and development, employment and trade, labor relations and industrial peace, social security and protection of workers, decent work, gender issues in the workplace and public-private partnership initiatives.
