“For work to have a deeper meaning it should not just be any kind of work, it has to be decent,” said Cynthia Cruz, Executive Director of the Institute for Labor Studies. “Admittedly, decent concept is still vague to many partners and stakeholders. We have different definitions of what decent work is. These toolkits will give us a better understanding on ondecent work, particularly at the grassroots levels. We hope that from being a policy ideal, it can evolve to becoming a way of life for many Filipinos,” Cruz emphasized. The toolkit which was created in consultation with its social partners will be used inadvocating adherence to decent work outcomes for policy formulation and program implementation.
